PCOS Quiz — Do I Have PCOS? Free Self-Assessment
क्या आपको PCOS है? अभी चेक करें
PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) affects 1 in 5 Indian women — yet most go undiagnosed for years. Symptoms like irregular periods, unexplained weight gain, facial hair, acne, and mood swings are often dismissed as "normal." They're not.
This free PCOS self-assessment quiz asks about your cycle, symptoms, skin, hair, and hormonal patterns. Your score will help you understand whether your symptoms align with PCOS and what steps to take next. This is not a medical diagnosis — think of it as the conversation starter you should have with your gynaecologist.
Take the quiz below. It takes less than 3 minutes.
How It Works | कैसे काम करता है
Answer 10 questions about your symptoms — period regularity, weight changes, hair growth, acne patterns, and family history. Your result is scored instantly and includes a personalised recommendation: whether to monitor, consult a doctor, or seek urgent evaluation.
Frequently Asked Questions | अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल
Answers written for Indian women — honest, practical, and doctor-verified.
What is PCOS?
PCOS is a hormonal disorder where the ovaries produce excess androgens (male hormones). This causes irregular or absent periods, small cysts on the ovaries, and a range of symptoms including acne, hair fall, weight gain, and fertility challenges.
What is the difference between PCOS and PCOD?
PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) is a milder condition where the ovaries release immature eggs. PCOS is more severe and involves a hormonal imbalance that affects the entire body. PCOS can affect fertility more significantly than PCOD.
Can PCOS be cured permanently?
There is no permanent cure, but PCOS can be managed very effectively through lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, stress management), and medication when needed. Many women with PCOS live symptom-free with the right management.
Does PCOS cause infertility?
PCOS is one of the most common causes of female infertility, but it doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. With medical support — including ovulation induction or IVF if needed — many women with PCOS successfully conceive.
What foods should I avoid with PCOS?
Avoid refined sugar, white bread/rice, processed foods, and excessive dairy. These spike insulin levels, which worsens PCOS symptoms. Focus on low-GI foods, lean protein, and plenty of vegetables.
How is PCOS diagnosed?
A doctor diagnoses PCOS using 3 criteria (Rotterdam criteria): irregular ovulation, signs of excess androgens (blood test or symptoms), and polycystic ovaries on ultrasound. You need at least 2 of the 3 for a diagnosis.
